This Saturday, on the 61st anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, join the League of Women Voters of Maine for a virtual town hall at 10am: Unite and Rise for Voting Rights. Speakers will present on the state of our democracy and offer opportunities to get involved. 

Emily Cook, Senior Policy Director at Maine Department of the Secretary of State will deliver remarks reflecting on Maine's primary election experience and share insights into preparation for the November election.

Molly Curren-Rowles, Executive Director at the ACLU of Maine, will discuss legal advocacy at the state and national levels and the organization's work with LWV-ME and other partners around voting rights and election protection.
