Bangor Area: Public Forum on Ballot Questions 2 and 4-8

Discussions of Questions 2 and 4 through 8 will be held at a public forum on Wednesday, October 4 from 5:30 to 7:30pm at the Bangor Public Library Sponsored by the League of Women Voters - Bangor,  the Bangor Public Library, and the Bangor Daily News. The event will be live streamed on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/LWVME


Discussion of QUESTION 4 will be a featured event. QUESTION 4, the “Right to Repair Law”. It is legislation designed to ensure that vehicle owners and independent repair shops have access to the necessary information, tools, and software needed to repair and maintain vehicles. Representatives from The Maine Automotive Right to Repair Committee and The Alliance for Automotive Innovation have been invited to present the pros and cons of this question and answer audience questions.


Supporters of ballot questions 4-8 have been invited to talk about these issues and answer audience questions. A forum on Questions 1 and 3, the Pine Tree Power initiative, will be held on Tuesday, October 3.


Please join us to learn more about these important issues. There will be an opportunity for the audience to submit their own questions to be presented by the moderator.
